Rochester, NY… Catholic Family Center recently celebrated the reopening of Jones House, a community residence for men in recovery, after an extensive renovation.

Jones House was fully renovated top to bottom in 2020 and 2021 with over $2.5 Million of support from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). With this renovation, we will be able to offer state of the art residential recovery support, including in-residence clinical and group treatment with a trauma-informed design and ADA accessibility.

This is the place 24 men can come home to after engaging with others in the community, going to support groups and attending meetings. If they encounter triggers or personal struggles while away, they have this welcoming place and supportive staff when they return.

Hear the details of the renovation, and the impact it will make in the lives of over 200 men each year, in this video.

A tour of Jones House may be viewed here.

“We believe that all individuals in recovery need a safe space to call home throughout their journey,” says Marlene Bessette, President and CEO of Catholic Family Center. “We are grateful to OASAS for granting us the funding to make this possible, and all the architects and contractors who made this renovation happen. It is a beautiful home now restored to meet the needs of our men and our staff.”

CFC offers community residential support for women in recovery at Barrington House, and for men at Jones House and Alexander House.

We invite you and your audience to view a special virtual ribbon cutting event celebrating this safe space that the men we serve will now call home while receiving the support they need on their path to recovery. Joining CEO Marlene Bessette and Vice President Kristie Elias, is Colleen Mance, representing OASAS Commissioner Arlene González-Sánchez.

CFC is excited for the continued expansion of our services to provide impactful support for the people we serve. And we are proud to contribute to the overall health of our community as we support individuals and their families on their road to recovery.
